Weltverbesserer - “world improver”
My drive to work in film comes from a desire to make the world a little bit better, to contribute to people’s understanding of one another and to help them see the world’s beauty and tragedy. I am drawn to projects that champion underrepresented voices, that challenge and teach me something new. Films that move me to tears are my favourite kind.
I am a London-based German-British cinematographer creating visuals for narrative and documentary films. Both naturally influence each other. My work includes BAFTA longlisted and BIFA nominated films, and I have received multiple Best Cinematography nominations. My third narrative feature is currently in post-production, and I am always excited to collaborate on thoughtful, ambitious new projects.
