I am a German cinematographer based in London, I received a Best Cinematography nomination at Underwire in 2022 for 'Reflections', my debut feature 'Revolutionart’ won Best Narrative Feature at Liverpool Underground in 2020, my second narrative feature “Nachtwache” (“Nightwatch”) screened at Sofia, Hof, and Phoenix International festivals. The short film “A Fox in the Night” was BIFA nominated and BAFTA longlisted.
Next to my narrative work, I love shooting documentaries and experimental projects. I am drawn to projects that champion underrepresented voices, that ring true to my queer and female perspective, or teach me something new. These films often have social issues at heart, that question and challenge society and status quo.
I began working in film in 2012 as an intern in a rental house and as a camera assistant in Munich, Germany, and moved to England to study Cinematography at the National Film and TV School. Now I have bases in both countries, a german passport and UK settled status, as well as a US I-Visa valid till 2027.
I am a member of Illuminatrix Rising, a collective of female Cinematographers in the UK, Cinematographinnen, a collective of female Cinematographers in Germany, and BAFTA Connect.
